Easter Sunday for the Farbers

With the world closed on Easter, we were left to do what else-PACK? But before we did so, the girls and I played outside... Jenna brings her babies outside because "they are too young to be left alone in the house" and Maya has opted for wearing a tutu all the time!

This isn't the BLUE house?

Today Jenna, Maya and I had the best morning-Jenna and I began packing and throwing away junk in the house while Maya blissfully napped. We got to meet Brooke Karen, our newest love- at only 6 days old (the girls were heard talking all the way home about "Matt Matt's baby sister," "Brooke has SO much dark hair and is SO cute," "She was so little.") And then we got in the car, and it all went downhill!

Traffic, traffic traffic...AHHH! Thank goodness the girls were happy to talk about Brooke and lunch and all sorts of random topics. As we sat in standstill traffic, I realized I had a missed call. Well, wouldn't you know it was our wonderful realtor, he had a couple in the area who wanted to see our house in 15 minutes! All that flashed in my head was, laundry, toys, valuables, NO! I called back and told him, we'd be home in 30 minutes, which was generous, just be safe. He told me they'd arrive around then.

Well, wouldn't you know, the prospectives must have been stalking us and waiting for us to arrive home!? Because, we got in the house, I hastily gathered the toys, emptied the trash cans and with bags of dirty diapers in hand, the doorbell rang!! I answered the door huffing and puffing and apologized to the couple carrying an infant carrier with a little girl inside. (PHEW, they get it!) The realtor toured the oddly matched duo and their sleeping daughter around our house as Maya politely tossed chicken, cantaloupe and cheese to the side of her placemat and Jenna had me racing around like a dog chasing my tail getting her food from all over the kitchen-she MUST be going through a growth spurt!

They get upstairs, the last piece of their tour and the girls finally quiet down and are eating. And then, it happens!!!!! "Oh, this isn't the 4 bedroom, this must be the wrong house. Yeah, this is number _____, what number did we want to see again? There were 4 houses for sale on this street. Yeah, this is the wrong one, it isn't blue." Are you freakin' kidding me? You didn't notice our obviously tan house was not the BLUE one you were looking for until now? I wanted to throw up!

As they graciously walked out the door and proceeded to dillydally outside our house for the next 40 minutes, trying to determine where this foolish BLUE house was, I called our realtor to vent. He validated my concerns about the conversation and said that he had gotten an odd message following their visit about where this damn blue house was...

All I could think as I heard them come to this irritating revelation and then heard our realtor confirm what I had eavesdropped on was, have you ever heard of paint? Hell, I'll even buy you the blue paint-royal, sky, neon, whatever shade!!!!! And so we wait...
