Having 3 and no time at all...

Having three kids, provides very little "free time" at all these days.  My free time is spent doing some of my most favorite activities, folding laundry, picking up toys, and the likes.  I have managed to sneak in a pedicure, a few runs on the treadmill and a few trips to the grocery store, ALONE.  Suffice to say, something had to take a backseat and it has been my precious little blog.

Here are a few updates on what has been happening of recent:

Jenna:
Jenna has been a superstar!  She is confident, ever funny, and so smart.  She is rapidly catching on when Scott and I spell words between each other aloud to avoid the kids hearing something.  "Mommy, you said BRING.  I know that because I heard the B and then the R!"  How are we at that point yet?  I have now taken to occasionally spelling certain words backwards to get by her intelligence, but man, who knew I'd have to learn another language?  Jenna loves to write, "read" and her memory is insane.  She can recall what day of the week a baby was born, who bought her what present and where she was during a particular event.  She is a HUGE help and hit with Nathan-he adores her, you can tell by the way he watches her and smiles.  Jenna has taken swimming lessons and just blossomed.  She has been repeatedly and rapidly promoted!  She LOVES it!

Maya:
Maya is a spitfire!  She is a riot!  BUSY BUSY BUSY!!!  Maya doesn't walk ever, she runs runs and runs.  Maya, somewhat resistantly, learned to wear underwear as of June 21st.  She insists that she will wear them to bed and naps when she is 4-though there is no reason she can't now.  She just wants it on her terms.  Maya is very excited to start school and turn 3 years old soon.  She does have some interesting plans for her party-a swimming party.  No "mans" are on her list, but we are hopeful that will change.   Maya too has taken swimming lessons this summer and is having a blast; not surprisingly, Maya loves the jumping into the water part best.  She is so sweet with Nathan, loves to help bathe him and talks to him in a sweet baby friendly voice.  Maya is growing up so fast, she understands that she is a big sister and it a big job.  She likes to stick close by these days and have some extra quality time with Mommy.

Nathan:
Now 2 1/2 months, our little man is getting SO big!  Nathan smiles, coos, giggles and has the most lovable personality.  He is a typical boy, thinking "bathroom humor" is great!  Nathan has been sleeping through the night since 8 weeks old.  Everyone has always told us "You just have great sleepers."  Well, we work for it for sure, but truthfully, this one was pretty simple.  Nathan is happy, easygoing and so snuggly.  EXCEPT in that horrific trap we call...  THE CARSEAT!  You would think Nathan was being stabbed by sharp knives in his seat he screams so much!  We are continuing to work on it, but man it makes for drives longer than 30 seconds LONG LONG LONG!!!!  Nathan has been such an incredible addition to our family.  We can't wait to continue to watch him grow!
